Vlad is a Memphis based artist who primarily works with oil paint. He enrolled at Memphis College of Art, then transferred and graduated at the University of Memphis with a Bachelors of Fine Art in 2022.

His paintings are often cluttered with detail. The illustrative style allows for the environment or the subject to tell it’s story. The use of color in old places brings the piece to life.

Most of his inspiration comes from the the mundane parts of life and the almost physical feeling of an emotion. More often then not the paintings are self portraits, even when the self is not there. When the subject goes into more complex subject matter like grief or gender, there is often a lightheartedness mixed in.
